REVIEW: Awkwafina Adds a Little Fun to Season 2 of ‘A Real Bug’s Life’
A Real Bug’s Life is back with a brand-new season tomorrow, January 15. Streaming on Disney+, the show is inspired by the Pixar animated movie, A Bug’s Life. After almost a year of waiting, Awkwafina brings you back to the world of insects as she returns to narrate the buggy new season.
Featuring new ecosystems and a variety of interesting new bugs, the season, like the first, is only 5 episodes long and each episode is just under half an hour. With not a lot of time, one would think the filmmakers wouldn’t have enough time to tell the story, but each episode is filled with fascinating information and cutting-edge technology. It’s amazing just how close the filmmakers manage to get to ensure they snap the perfect shot of the bugs. You can’t help but be astonished with the feats these filmmakers took to capture the life of these bugs.
For some, bugs don’t feature high on their list of things they find entertaining. But A Real Bug’s Life finds a way to make bugs interesting and fun for the whole family. This is mainly due to the show’s narrator. Awkwafina does a wonderful job bringing each episode to life with witty dialogue and flawless emotion. She has several one liners that will have the whole family laughing, which isn’t’ common in a docuseries. She also has such a distinct voice there is no doubt who is teaching you about bugs.
The new season of A Real Bug’s Life is the perfect show to sit down with the family if you are looking for something educational to watch. It’s quick, easy to understand, and features a lot of fun for all.
