Sydney Sweeney may have a new role up her sleeve. The young actress is in negotiations to star in the upcoming film, The Masque of the Red Death, based on the short story by Edgar Allen Poe.

According to Deadline, “The original Poe short story follows a prince who attempts to avoid a dangerous plague, known as the Red Death, by hiding in his abbey. Details behind this new take are being kept under wraps. Sources say the film will shoot this year.”
