HBO Closes In On Two More Hogwarts’ Professors For New Harry Potter Series

Two more Professors are headed to Hogwarts. Janet McTeer and Paapa Essiedu are closing in on deals to play Professor Minerva McGonagall and Professor Snape in the upcoming Harry Potter series for HBO.

According to Deadline, “Oscar- and Emmy-nominated actress Janet McTeer is in negotiations to play Professor Minerva McGonagall, sources tell Deadline. Additionally, Emmy nominee Paapa Essiedu, one of the first actors identified for the series, is closing his deal to portray Professor Severus Snape.”

With production getting underway this Summer, if the deal goes through, the pair would join already cast, John Lithgow. Other casting announcements will be made soon.

Paapa is far too pretty to play Snape. That is all.
